Flowers For My Girlby *Arcticwaters

Man, I've had like no motivation to really work on anything lately. (Plus my tablet keeps messing up.) This has been sitting in my files for about a month, and I wanted to color it properly, but I'm tired (Did this in a collective two hours maybe?) I liked the way the colored lineart looked though and decided to play around with looser coloring (I switched to a slightly different brush after Rainbow and Applejack, so they're a bit more sloppy.) I really like the Color blending mode.

Anyway, flower giving is one of my favorite little poses, and I wanted to show how I see my ships' "couple personalities." Pinkie would just grab a bunch regardless of what they look like, but it's the thought that counts x3 (I could see Pinkie as thinking any flower is pretty no matter what, cause she's adorably innocent like that.) Rainbow would probably go for simple - but better looking - but she'd present them in style. (I think this particular pose, for both, could work for any Rainbow pairing, except maybe RainbowPie, since Pinkie doesn't seem the type to stop and looking confusedly touched.) And Twilight would look up the meaning of flowers and narrow her choices down from there; apparently whether or not Rarity's there too.

I really like Rainbow, drawing her upside down, especially her hair, was fun. (Though she and Twilight never really look like themselves when I draw them, why do they always look off?) Twility's my favorite; it didn't really come out as I saw it in my head, but that's the pose I always imagine them in, and I love it so x3 I like to think Rarity was pretty curled up and relaxed before she got curious.

I love how much of each pony's personality shines through her. Rainbow looks calm, confident, happy ... and perhaps a touch mischievous. Twilight looks mildly embarrassed to be caught by Rarity looking up info on flowers. Pinkie just looks completely and unabashedly in love.

This is just pure adorability.
